My mom recently told me that certain websites are making people pay over 100 dollars for each song you illegally downloaded. Which websites are they??? My friend downloads them illegally and I want to try to save her.

I hope she hasn’t paid any site $100 for music, because that’s just plain ludicrous. Most illegal download methods can be done for free, and don’t even require a site account! I mean, even normal music sites are not fucking anyone over that badly.
I don’t know which websites these are, but you’re very safe (in monetary terms) downloading via torrents. http://www.thepiratebay.org

Don’t just look for free downloads – chances are they’ve got a virus attached – I’ve been using http://www.legal5ounds.com for over 2 years now and I’ve never had a problem. Its not free but at only 9c a song it won’t bust the bank!
