If you don’t have a lot of business experience and don’t have products already in mind to market or sell, probably the best way to get started is as an independent distributor/rep marketing products for a company.

The company already has the products, marketing materials, website and training available to help you get started. It usually requires some upfront cost, but there are many companies that will help you get started with an initial supply of products to show people and use yourself (so you can talk about the products knowledgeably from your personal experience), marketing materials like a catalog and a company website for online sales.

There are no "get rich quick" schemes that work. It takes time and effort to build a customer base.

It can be a little overwhelming to choose, so here are some things you might want to consider:

1. Pick products that you personally like and will use – it makes it easier to talk to other people about them, plus you will usually also get a good discount which helps your budget if you would be buying similar products anyway!

2. Pick products that are consumable and most people buy several times a year to help build a large customer base with repeat sales.

3. Research the company carefully. It’s better to get involved with something that is growing and doesn’t have too many reps, but is on solid financial footing.

4. Look at the compensation plan. Is it easy to understand? What is your profit margin? Sometimes companies that offer free or low start-up costs pay a low commission/profit percentage.

5. Are there monthly or quarterly sales/purchase quotas? Will you be comfortable with that amount? For some people it is a motivation while for others it becomes a burden,

6. What are the marketing methods allowed? Are you required to market through home parties or do you have the freedom to market the way that works for you? Make sure that the approved company marketing methods will fit what you want to do.

7. Watch the market trends. Right now there is increasing interest is in green, natural products made in the USA from renewable resources.

8. Is there good training and support provided by the company and your sponsor? This will really help you get off to a good start.

First you would need a web host. A business will really not work on a free site.
So you get a web host. This will cost about $40.
This gives you your domain name, unlimited space, tools and apps to create your website, and support to get you going.

Once you have your host, you create your website.I suggest WordPress to create the site, because its easy and produces beautiful websites.

Now as far as the money. Whatever kind of site you make, you can make money from it.
You can start with adsense from Google. You put small Google ads on your site, and if people click them, you make money.

You can also put other ads for products and services and make money if anyone buys from your links.

Thats just a few ideas to get you going. First get a web host and make your site. Its easier than you think.

I would suggest you to join online forums on how to make money online. You’ll get more ideas on how most of them make money and save yourself from the trouble of guessing which program is legitimate and is going to be profitable by the end of the day.

You need to ask yourself and find out what you’re good at so that you can develop something from your passion. If you love golf, then you might want to start a blog about how to play golf and place some contextual advertisements on it so that you can make money when someone buy from your blog or website.
